With less than a month before its start, here is everything we know so far about the official song for the 2023 LoL Worlds.

LoL Worlds 2023 song – who is the artist?

For nearly a decade, the LoL World Championship has had an official theme song. They tackled different genres and collaborated with various artists, including popular singers like G-IDLE and Lil Nas X, with many of them becoming legendary anthems that people listen to on loop, myself included.

Considering Worlds will be starting in mid-October, we should expect the release of the official song in the upcoming weeks. And just like every year, fans want to know what the song will be like and which artists will work with Riot Games’ music department to create a banger.

This year, Worlds will be heading back to South Korea for the first time since 2018, when Riot Games created the legendary music group K/DA with G-IDLE’s Soyeon and Miyeon, as well as Madison Beer e Jaira Burns. The song Popstars became an instant hit, as Riot managed to break into the K-pop genre.

It’s likely we’re going to see it again this year with its return to South Korea. Even though nothing is confirmed, we had some potential leaks and hints over the past few months. Back in the middle of August, Riot Games Music’s Twitter account showed K-pop group ATEEZ visiting the Riot HQ, potentially hinting at a possible collaboration with them.

Who are ATEEZ?

ATEEZ is a male K-pop group that debuted in 2018, and it consists of eight members: Hongjoong, Seonghwa, Yunho, Yeosang, San, Mingi, Wooyoung, and Jongho. They have gained increasing popularity over the past few years, releasing a total of 10 EPs, one studio album, and one single album. Their music has a distinctive style that comprises many different genres, ranging from Trap, EDM, Rap, R&B, and much more.

As a big K-pop and ATEEZ fan, here are some of your favorite songs you should check out: HALAZIA, INCEPTION, Guerrilla, Deja Vu, WONDERLAND, Cyberpunk, Answer, THANXX, Wave. If you’re into boy bands or looking for some “explosive” workout songs, ATEEZ are definitely worth listening to.

When is Worlds Song’s Release date?

Currently, there is no confirmed release date on the Worlds 2023 song. That said, last year’s Worlds song was released on September 22, 2022, exactly one week before the start of the tournament. If the trend were to be the same this year, we would likely get the soundtrack at the end of September or the beginning of October. Make sure to keep your eyes (and ears) ready, as we might be getting another legendary banger.
