Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the highly anticipated sequel for PlayStation 5, has recently unveiled a surprise for its fans. The game’s latest trailer has confirmed the inclusion of the iconic black suit, reminiscent of Tobey Maguire’s attire in the film Spider-Man 3.

Over the years, Spider-Man’s attire has undergone numerous transformations, especially in the cinematic universe. From the original Spider-Man game on PS4, Insomniac Games introduced a plethora of unlockable outfits, mirroring the on-screen versions of Spider-Man portrayed by actors like Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland. This trend of integrating cinematic versions of Spider-Man’s attire into the game seems to be continuing with the upcoming PS5 sequel.

The black suit showcased in the trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 bears a striking resemblance to the one featured in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. Unlike the standard symbiote outfit in the game, this version has a textured appearance adorned with silver webbing.

This particular suit has garnered significant attention, especially since it was among the most sought-after outfits by fans for the original Marvel’s Spider-Man game. Insomniac Games, however, had other plans, choosing to introduce the symbiote and its associated attire in a subsequent release.

It’s confirmed that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature at least 65 suits. While many iconic Spider-Man outfits from various films have already been integrated into the first game, it remains to be seen which ones will make a comeback or debut in the sequel. There’s speculation about potential outfits related to Spider-Man’s cinematic appearances, especially for Miles Morales, given the upcoming Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse film.
