I think it’s high time Riot Games seriously considers organizing integrated Valorant events or mix All-Star competitions in the off-season. We just witnessed a banger VCT Game Changers Final between Team Liquid Brazil and Shopify Rebellion, and throughout the entire event some of the most exciting Valorant I’ve seen this year.

I have no doubt in my mind some of these GC athletes can dominate more then half of the regular VCT lobbies.

VALORANT is ready for more integrated events

I haven’t given VALORANT Game Changers the attention it deserves throughout 2023. Last year, the level of competition was lagging behind the VCT by a big margin, and as a result, I didn’t fully engage myself with the circuit this season.

Boy did i miss out..

Before the armchair analysts give silly opinions, I am not going to debate the structural challenges of the Valorant ecosystem, co-ed play, or the infrastructure and problems that arise in having mixed teams or fully integrated events at the expense of one circuit.

However, I will debate the need for events that showcase how much Game Changers has evolved and how much the athletes can flex on more then half of the regular VCT teams.

We just witnessed some top tier Valorant played in Sao Paolo, in an event that was more exciting then all the OFF//SEASON showmatches and mini events combined. Yes, not ever match and team was on the same level, but when it comes to TL Brazil, G2 Gozen and Shopify Rebellion, we are seeing some pristine VALORANT being played.

At the peak, Game Changers players can easily dominate, flex and teabag a good portion of the “main” VCT teams. Riot Games should focus on letting them showcase that.

Give us a VALORANT Cup or VCT All-Star Event

It is time to fully integrate both scenes for at least a few events. Let’s pit both seasonal Champions in a true VCT Cup Showmatch. We can even include the top teams from each league against each other or create a mixed team competition with all the top players.

At this stage, I really want to see Jojina and Boaster battle out their positivity, vibes and stage presence. I want to see if any of the boys can outmeme Melanji before a match.

It’s time esports purists really realize how much Riot Games has achieved with the Game Changers ecosystem, how much Valorant has evolved and just truly game changing (xD) these initiatives are for the whole of esports.

You don’t get a frag reel without some banger fragging.
