This may no longer be the newest map but CS2 Ancient is still one of the most popular. If you’re looking for information on Ancient callouts CS2, guides like this are exactly what you need. Luckily, we’ve done the hard work for you. We’ll go over the basic overview of the map features and then go into specifics for your most important callouts.

Every map has a set of callouts you should learn that are crucial to levelling up your game. Maps have unique callouts so teams can understand where events are taking place during the game, which depend on whether you’re playing on the CT side or the T side. CS2 Ancient is a map full of long straight and narrow chokes and sightlines to hold as a CT, including some infamous spots like Sniper’s Nest that let you hold a line of sight across the entirety of Mid. Ts can take advantage of the CT side needing to cover many entry points by stacking through a variety of narrow firing lines, as well as clever utility use to improve these approaches.

Ancient CT Callouts:

As a CT, the most important Ancient Callouts are:

Outside
Lobby
A Site
A Short
A Long
B Site
B Ramp
B Back Halls
Mid

These are the key bombsite entry points that you’ll need to keep your eye on. As well as this, you’ll need to be in constant communication with your teammates about any enemy information. That way, you can ensure your rotations are perfect and you can catch the Ts off guard. The Ts will often split between many of these positions, so playing as a CT on Ancient is tough work.

Ancient T Callouts:

On T side, your essential Ancient Callouts are:

B Dark
B Pillar
Snipers’ Nest
A CT Lane
A Plat
A Temple
Pit

There’s a bit more to get used to when calling as a T because you’re not just calling entry points – you’re also calling CT hiding spots. CS2 Ancient’s long narrow straights let CT’s hold sightlines such as across Mid over the stairs, which requires careful group coordination to not get picked off before getting on site to plant. They can also hide out in corners like Pit or Dark along the side of Mid or B Site. As they defend the site, they’ll look to gain any small advantage over you, and you need to know where to call so you and your team avoid some nasty surprises.
