Anno with cowboys, robots and robot cowboys: SteamWorld Build could become a new construction hit. It will be released soon and is working its way up the Steam wish lists before release. We summarize what you should know!

SteamWorld Build is already knocking on the door

When will it be released? On 1 December 2023, the building game that lets you build a steampunk western civilization will be released. You may already be familiar with the robot world from predecessors such as SteamWorld Dig (but a platformer, not a city builder).

What’s inside?

Construction: You build a steampunk city for your robot inhabitants.

Mines: Beneath the earth’s surface, many valuable resources are waiting to be discovered and mined by you. But beware, sinister characters are also after them.

Management: Of course, your settlement also needs to be managed to keep the bots happy.

So it will be a mix of Anno building and Dungeon Keeper expeditions. We have written a detailed preview for you after we were allowed to play SteamWorld Build exclusively. This gameplay trailer gives you a quick overview:

Via (SteamDB) it’s easy to see how SteamWorld Build has been fighting its way up the wish lists for a while now: Since its announcement, it has collected 20,000 followers on Steam and is currently the 66th most wanted game in the world.
