Anvil Empires looks like a strategy game at first glance, but is actually an MMO in which you fight in huge armies of up to 1,000 players. The game is typically medieval: you fight on foot or on horseback with swords, spears, axes and bows, or entrench yourself in castles and cities built by your allies.

Anvil Empires comes from the developers of the tactical shooter Foxhole and uses a similar principle with strategic depth. You can’t just go into battle carelessly, but must also organise the supply of your army with food, weapons and ammunition. To do this, you build your own settlements, where resources are then produced by hunting or working in the fields. Anvil Empires will be released on Steam, but does not yet have a release date.
