Apex Legends Season 18 Release Date and Revenant Rework

Apex Legends’ latest season has been a bit of a mixed one between various bugs and some unhappiness with the direction of the game from a lot of players like the Masters rank changes. However, the Apex Legends Season 18 release date is fast approaching now. One good thing about Apex is that even if you don’t like a particular season, you’re never too far from another big change to the game. Thanks to some recent reveals, we now know quite a bit more about what’s changing, including a big rework for Revenant.

Apex Legends season 18 might not be adding a brand-new legend, but there are a lot of reasons for players to be getting excited about the update. This is what we know about the release date and the major changes when it releases.

When is the Apex Legends Season 18 Release Date?

Apex Legends is currently scheduled to release on August 8th. That’s the planned release date for the next version of the game. Titles like this can have delays though, so it’s best to view the date as more of a guide than a hard rule on when the new season will release.

Is There a New Legend for Apex Legends Season 18?

Apex Legends has more recently decided to start sitting out some seasons for new Legends. We’re not getting them every season any more, instead, developers are taking the time to fix up some of the lesser-used characters instead. When it comes to Season 18, things are still a bit unclear but some recent announcements seem to indicate we won’t be getting a new Legend.

Rather than getting a new Legend this season, it looks like Apex is re-doing one of their lesser-used characters. We’re supposedly getting a Revenant rework that is big enough to basically call him a new Legend from now on! This would be along with bigger changes to other legends too. This might be a healthier move for the game right now, even if it’s not the most exciting. The current batch of characters could stand to be better balanced, especially at events like the ALGS.

Leaked Revenant Rework for Season 18

The big Revenant rework or Revenant Reborn has been the subject of quite a few leaks by itself. Leakers say the character will get an ability, that could transport players away for a 1v1 battle. Death Totem is supposed to be seeing some changes too. There’s also seemingly an ability which blocks other players from using their own abilities.

The Revenant rework looks like a fun new take on the character for Season 18. What about new Legends though? There are still some leaks about the next batch of new faces that might be coming to Apex Legends Season 18.

Apex Legends Leaked Legends in Season 18

The leaked Legend that a lot of players think is coming next is Conduit. She’s a Legend that has popped up in some pretty big leaks in the past so it does feel likely they might eventually come. These are the leaked abilities that have been shown off for the character so far.

Passive – Capacitance – A regenerative shield that applies over time, and regenerates faster with allies nearby.
Tactical – Arc Flash – A move which heals the shields of allies at the expense of your own.
Ultimate – Alternating Current – A cluster bomb that launches and damages the shield of a lot of nearby players, while you get healed the same amount.

Those are the leaked abilities we’ve seen for the Apex Legends Season 19 or later Legend. We might not be getting a new Legend in these seasons it’s worth keeping that in mind.
