Palworld is a solid game that has it all: base building, character customisation, a huge open world, and over 100 creatures to capture, fight, and tame. It’s an early access title that was released on January 19 by Pocket Pair, and it promptly proceeded to take the world by storm. In less than a week, Palworld racked up more than eight million sales, a staggering figure for any title. It’s a multiplayer game by design, but are Palworld servers PvP? If they are, how do you do PvP in Palworld? Let’s find out.

In this snapshot walkthrough, we’re going to dive into the concept of PvP in Palworld. First, we’ll determine whether it exists, and if it does, we’ll outline how to fight friends in Palworld.

Read on to learn all you need to know.

Are Palworld Servers PvP or Just PvE?

By default, Palworld is exclusively PvE – there is no PvP available in the game. This is by design, but it’s not the be-all and end-all of the game. On January 24, the developer – Pocket Pair – stressed that PvP will be added in a future update to Palworld, enabling players to fight other players and their friends. It’s not yet known how to do PvP in Palworld – because the function just doesn’t exist – but it’s expected that it’ll be real-time combat when the feature is eventually added.

If you’ve got visions of a Pokémon-like battle with your Pals, then think again. That probably wouldn’t be on the cards.

Instead, you’ll fight other players in Palworld like you would fight any AI-driven opponent. In real-time using a series of weapons and Pal abilities and commands. It’s entertaining enough and it ensures the game retains a fast pacing, so it’s not such a bad thing that this element wouldn’t likely be like a Pokémon game.

It’s not known when PvP will be added to Palworld, but it’s not expected that it’ll take long. There are millions of people playing Palworld and they’re all eager for this feature to be added, especially in the larger servers that can accommodate up to thirty-two players.
