EA has announced a timed event for Battlefield 2042 that will bring a new game mode for 48 players to the shooter. The new Control mode will start on 11 July. In Control you will have to conquer and hold changing command points from which you upload data to satellite terminals. If you succeed, you’ll earn promotion points that can be used to request vehicles for you and your teammates.

The event runs until 25 July and is expected to change the dynamics of Battlefield 2024 yet again.
