Few weapons in Modern Warfare 3 boast the speed or agility of the AMR9. It’s one of the fastest weapons in its class, regarding fire rate and manoeuvrability. It’s not making it into the Call of Duty League, but that’s mostly because it’s unbalanced – it’s overpowered. In this guide, we’re breaking down the best AMR9 loadout for Modern Warfare 3. It doesn’t matter what your favourite game mode is, you’ll feel right at home making use of this build.

There’s a word of warning, though. Thanks to Modern Warfare 3’s increased time-to-kill, you won’t have much luck using this weapon at anything outside of a medium range. It’s not one for long shots, as this build is designed to be used up close and personal. It’s a rapid-response weapon, not something a marksman should be using. Fortunately, there are plenty more builds to suit that particular role.

What’s The Best AMR9 in MW3?

If you want to be laying out your enemies in a split second, you’ll want to use this fleshed-out AMR9 loadout in Modern Warfare 3. It’s accurate at close to medium range, boasts great stopping power and the rate of fire is more than fast enough to contend with anything else you’re put up against – except maybe someone else with another AMR9 build just like this one…

Here’s what you’ll need:

Tectonic Herald Light Barrel
Monolithic Suppressor
9mm High Grain Rounds
Phantom Grip
Demo D50 Buffer Tube

As we’ve stressed, everything in this AMR9 loadout is designed for speed and agility. The lack of a buffer tube and the grip make for a much faster aim-down-sight speed, as does the light barrel. Paired with the 9mm High Grain Rounds, this AMR9 loadout becomes more of a powerhouse, and the Monolithic Suppressor up front means that your enemies will never hear you coming – and you’ll be hidden from the minimap when you’re opening fire.

What To Use With The Best AMR9 Build

To move as quickly as possible around the maps, you’ll want to use the Infantry Vest, which makes your Tac Sprint longer and refreshes it much faster. Then, pair it up with the Bone Conduction Headset to hear enemy sounds louder and more clearly, and use Commando Gloves so you can reload while sprinting, so you never need to slow down. If you then use Stalker Boots, you’ll be increasing your strafe and ADS movement speed, making you quite literally as fast as you could be.

For lethal equipment, we’d recommend throwing knives, as they’re the fastest lethals to be deployed and they’re a one-hit kill. For your non-lethal, throw on Battle Rage. This stimulant will give you a huge adrenaline boost, forcing your health regeneration up, resisting all tactical equipment, and bumping up your Tac Sprint constantly while the Rage is live.

We’d say that the secondary weapon slot is up to you, but most players will use a fast-moving knife like a Karambit or a small handgun for the ultimate speed.
