Fans have been waiting for the launch of the new update on BGMI and finally, Krafton has made the announcement. The launch date for the update was presented by the first edition of Team Soul in a YouTube video. In this, popular names in the community like Mortal and Viper announced the new game modes as well as changes in the BGMI Update 3.0. But when is the update coming? Here is the release date and time for the BGMI 3.0 Update.
What is the release date and time for the BGMI 3.0 Update?
Krafton is set to release the BGMI 3.0 Update on Jan. 25 in India. The developer hasn’t announced the exact release date, though. Players can clear the cache and refresh their application store to know when the update is available.
Currently, it is speculated that the update will first be released on Android first followed by iOS. The theme for the new update is called “Shadow Blade”. This is a new short-range weapon that will be useful to kill opponents in close range. Additionally, there will be a form of shot blocking or an ability to be bulletproof when the player has equipped the Shadow Blade and is being targeted by opponents.
The next major update is the addition of the Gulag in BGMI 3.0. If players are unfamiliar with the Gulag, it was first introduced in Call Of Duty Warzone. As a part of this, two players who were killed would face off against each other in an alternate battleground. The winner from this 1v1 duel will respawn on the map. Previously, players could respawn in BGMI once but in the new 3.0 Update, they will be allowed to respawn two times. The first time the player is killed, they can be respawned through the recall tower. In the second time, on the other hand, the player will have to make it through the Gulag.
Are There Any Changes To The Weapons & Maps In The New Update?
There will be a form of remodeling done on the map of Erangel in the BGMI 3.0 Update. Zones on the map such as the Military base, Pochinki, and Georgopol will have an updated look as well. The final major update is that while driving the car, the player who is driving can heal themselves as well. It will be interesting to see if there are any changes in the gameplay.
Guns like the DBS and the SK-12 haven’t been nerfed yet and are still considered overpowered by most of the community and professional players. As there is no change in the zone circles as well, it does seem like there isn’t going to be a lot of change within the professional meta of the game.
