Teams to look out for in the BGMI India – Korea Invitational
This is the first time teams from the two countries are set to face off. While it’s hard to predict which country is better, Korea does seem to have the upper hand. This is because the country has been playing competitively for a longer time while India had to endure a long period of the game’s suspension.
Nonetheless, Indian teams have had a few months of non-stop tournaments to practice. Additionally, being a LAN event with a live audience, they will have the home side’s support.
While all 16 teams can take the title, the three Indian teams to keep an eye on are Gladiators Esports, Big Brother Esports, and Blind Esports. Gladiators are a new team but have been on a roll having won both major BGMI esports tournaments, the Masters Series and the BGIS.
Big Brother Esports, on the other hand, is an underdog team made up of newcomers in the scene, but they have been dominant and have given the top teams a run for their money.
Last but not the least is Blind Esports. They came fourth in the BGIS 2023 but have also been a team to watch out for. This is because they have been getting one-sided victories in third-party tournaments which include the Villager Esports DOMIN8R Series, Upthrust Esports Survivor Saga, Skyesports Champions Series, Lidoma Battleground Invitational, Revenant Invitational Showdown, and more.
From Korea, both the top teams, which include Duksan Esports and Dplus, are ones to look out for. Both teams have international experience and are coming into the tournament on the back of a great performance in the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup 2023, which featured a similar format but was for teams in South Korea and Japan.
While Dplus came first, Duksan Esports came in third position.
