We’re up to the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023 Semi-Final, after an exciting few days of Counter-Strike. With just four teams remaining, that prize of a spot in the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 draws ever closer. Let’s take a look at the upcoming games to see who has the best chance of making the upcoming Grand Final.

Heroic vs Imperial

It’s been something of a dream run for Imperial so far. They’ve beaten Vitality and Complexity so far, and even managed to take a map from G2. Considering the ongoing rumors about this roster going their separate ways during the CS:GO player break, it’s been a hell of a swan song. Every player has had their individual moments, proving they have what it takes to go elsewhere and make a contribution. If they can beat Vitality, don’t rule them out here.

For Heroic, it’s been standard operating procedure so far. These guys are experts at making the top four in CS:GO tournaments, and the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023 is no different. Opening wins against Complexity and FaZe meant they had a day off to recharge, and that could be a difference-maker. In their wildest dreams, Heroic couldn’t have imagined they’d play Imperial in the Semi-Final here. But they shouldn’t underestimate the Brazilians. They’re here for a reason, and hubris has been Heroic’s downfall of late.

If we’re picking a winner, we’re going with Heroic on consistency alone. Denmark and Brazil are two proud CS:GO nations, but the Danes should have too much to offer here.

G2 vs Vitality

Now this is a game that looks far too close to call. Both G2 and Vitality haven’t exactly been at the top of their game this time around, but find themselves with a chance of making the final nonetheless.

After a disastrous IEM Dallas 2023, G2 have looked like a different team in Washington. HooXi looks to be in a better mental state, while NiKo is a man with a point to prove. All around, it’s a stronger G2 than we’ve been seeing lately, and they’ll give Vitality a lot of trouble. Going into the player break with a win here gives the team plenty to think about. Rumors continue to swirl about HooXi’s future, but dropping your IGL after what would be three S-Tier tournament wins in six months would be an insane decision, proving the G2 IGL spot is truly untenable for any CS:GO player.

Then we come to Vitality, who prior to BLAST Premier Spring Final 2023 day two looked in danger of an early exit. To their credit, they’ve turned their fortunes right around in style. Expectations were very high for Vitality after their past few tournament wins, and they’ve started to live up to that. They just needed some time to get warm, is all. Even if they’re not at their Paris Major high, they’re still one of the best CS:GO teams on the planet. When you’ve got a player like ZywOo, you’ve always got a chance.

You could toss a coin to choose a winner here – it’s that close. We’re going with Vitality, who we think will then win the whole thing. That would make Vitality three for three in their most recent tournaments, a brilliant achievement if they can muster it.
