The final Tier 1 CS2 esports event of the year is almost here, with the BLAST Premier World Final 2023. Eight of the best CS teams in the world are duking it out for the lion’s share of a colossal $1 million prize pool, so there’s plenty at stake. With last year’s event won by G2, can they repeat the feat this time around?

We’ve put together power rankings for the BLAST Premier World Final 2023 teams, so you know who the favorites and underdogs are going into the tournament.

BLAST Premier World Final 2023 Favorites

Despite losing the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023 to Vitality, we still have FaZe Clan as the big favorites here. They’ve refreshed the roster by bringing in frozen from MOUZ to replace Twistzz, which is a perfect like-for-like replacement. We don’t expect FaZe to skip a beat in Abu Dhabi, and are still favorites to lift the trophy overall.

However, don’t write off Cloud9 in this tournament. They’ve been grinding smaller tournaments such as the Thunderpick World Championship 2023 and BetBoom Dacha 2023, and have all around looked extremely impressive. Their lack of a dedicated AWPer gives them something different to set them apart from the rest of the scene, and they represent an interesting wildcard here.

Here are our ultimate power rankings for the eight teams in BLAST Premier World Final 2023:

Vitality
Cloud9
G2

BLAST Premier World Final 2023 Underdogs

Even the bottom teams of these power rankings are more than capable of beating the top. These are the best CS teams on the planet, and none should be underestimated. But of all the underdogs, who are the most interesting to watch? Let’s take a look.

First of all, keep an eye out for ENCE. They’re still getting to grips with gla1ve as the new in-game leader, replacing Snappi. It didn’t quite click at the Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, but there were certainly some promising signs. With Snappi, ENCE were a top 3 team in the world. If they can activate in the same way at the BLAST Premier World Final 2023, they can be a serious threat once again.

Finally, you need to watch out for MOUZ here. Since winning ESL Pro League Season 18, they’ve been a constant thorn in the side of the top teams. Losing frozen to FaZe is undoubtedly a massive blow, and for this tournament, Brollan is standing in.  However, this is a Brollan ultimately fighting for a permanent move to save his career after a disappointing NIP spell, so he’ll be looking to impress. Don’t write off MOUZ’s chances here based on frozen alone – they still have plenty to offer.
