Capcom Cup X Finals Begin in Just a Month
The Capcom Pro Tour is one of the longer-running fighting game circuits. It’s getting its biggest-ever tournament this year. So far, we’ve seen tons of tournaments narrowing down everyone in fighting games to just under 50 players. The absolute best of the best for SF 6 players.
How will the event work? It’s all starting on February 21, and wrapping up on the 25. It’s a four-day event with a few different stages. It begins with a group stage where players are seeded together and the pool of candidates is narrowed down. Then, we get the final Bracket. It’s a double-elimination tournament where players will be gradually knocked out. Until we have the very best players facing each other.
The Capcom Cup has gathered its competitors from quite a few of the biggest events. There are players like AngryBird and Chris Wong from Offline Premier events. Others coming in from EVO and plenty from online events.
That’s how the Capcom Cup X is going to work. It’s all starting up pretty soon but it’ll take five days to narrow the events down to the grand final. As the biggest Street Fighter tournament that we’ve ever seen, this is going to be a big week for all fighting game esports fans.
