CEO 2023 is about to start off. It’s a fighting game tournament with major events across quite a few of the top fighting games. While EVO is just around the corner, a lot of the same top-level players will be at CEO, competing in the same games just weeks before that tournament. CEO is one of the biggest majors on the calendar for fighting games. These are the big tournaments and players to watch out for at the event.

CEO 2023

CEO 2023 is a Florida fighting game tournament that’s held annual events for decades now, becoming a central part of fighting game esports each year. This is an event that features a wide spread of games, way beyond the tournaments you’ll find at DreamHack.

Even just looking at main events, it’s going deeper into fighting games than most do. It all takes place over June 23-25, and broadcast live. These are the main events you’ll find at CEO 2023.

Street Fighter 6

Maybe the headline event at CEO 2023 is Street Fighter 6. This is a major tournament with 1,081 players showing up! The prize pool is fitting for so many attendees, at $10,810. Some of the top players are showing up like MenaRD, Punk, Cab, iDom, Justakid, NuckleDu, Shine, Justin Wong, Kizzie Kay and more.

Tekken 7

Tekken 7 has an equally big representation at CEO 2023. This tournament is a master-tier event on the Tekken World Tour, with 329 players and $8,290 in prize money. Some of the top players heading into this event are Arsian Ash, Shadow 20z, JeonDDing, and PhiDX.

Guilty Gear Strive

There’s some representation for anime fighting games over at CEO 2023 too. Guilty Gear Strive is the biggest of these games, with a $4,210 prize pool and 421 players. Some major players taking part here are Supernoon, iDom, UMISHO, and Solstice.

King of Fighters XV

King of Fighters XV has a decently sized tournament at CEO 2023 with $3,100 in prize money and over 100 players showing up. The event won’t have Goenitz playable, but it’ll still be a fun event for the game.

Other CEO 2023 Tournaments

Those are some of the big hitters, but CEO has many mor games getting full events. These include some Mavel fighting games, and some huge games that don’t have CEO as part of their bigger circuit, like FighterZ. These are the other tournaments at CEO 2023.

FighterZ
Marvel Vs Capcom
GranBlue Fantasy
Melty Blood: Type Lumina
Guilty Gear Xrd
Under Night In-Birth Exe [cl-r]
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
DNF Duel
Capcom Vs SNK 2
Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
Breakers Revenge

Across all these tournaments, there’s a bit of something for everyone. CEO 2023 is particularly notable for keeping major events going for lesser-featured and retro games. It’s got more Street Fighters with major competitions than most and has even stuck with DNF Duel after it was dropped from the Arc World Tour.

The bigger events at CEO 2023 are all going to be featured on the official stream, where you can catch the action. This is a great tournament to tune into to see where players are standing before EVO and how SF 6 has developed.
