Supercell is known for some of the most-played mobile games and one genre that the Finnish developer hasn’t infiltrated is shooter titles. A new leak, however, suggests that it could be set to change.

Deleted YouTube video shows a third-person shooter by Supercell

Earlier this week, Supercell released a since-deleted video on its YouTube channel from the CBS News Series “Innovation and Disruption Leaders.” The video featured interviews with CEO Ilkka Paananen, game lead Jonathan Dower, and CPO Frida Johansson and highlighted how Supercell made games that have been played for years.

The video also featured a short clip, however, showing a person playing a third-person shooter on the laptop. This doesn’t mean, though, that the dev is working on a PC game. It’s a mobile game, indicated by the on-screen buttons, being tested on a PC. The clip was highlighted by former Brawl Stars pro SpenLC on X.

The short clip shows a character shooting at another character with damage indicators popping up similar to Brawl Stars. In fact, a X user reacted to it calling it a “Brawl Stars TPP.”

There is little to take away from the video except that it looks like a third-person shooter which is separate from the other Clash games.

Does this mean the game is coming soon?

While the short clip does look like a really promising title distinct from all the current Supercell releases, it doesn’t mean that it could be coming soon – or even if it will come at all.

Supercell, as a dev, is known to kill off games which don’t meet its high standards. Additionally, the video has already been taken down indicating that the clip in the video could have been a mistake.

The game might look good, but fans will have to wait for an announcement by Supercell to know if it’s in the pipeline and what its eventual release might be.

Currently, the developer has revealed a new MOBA called mo.co which is in its beta phase.
