There’s no greater feeling than redemption after being kicked off from your former esports team. But, for Rahuel “ItzMago” Jael, the redemption came with revenge as he defeated his former team in the CoD Mobile World Championship Stage 4. Adding fuel to the fire, the player managed to do that at a McDonalds.
Here’s how ItzMago went from being teamless to now almost qualifying for the Snapdragon Pro Series LAN at the PAX West in Seattle.
ItzMago defeats ARP Gaming while playing from a McDonalds
ItzMago is a Puerto Rican professional CoD Mobile player. He has been actively competing since 2020 and also won the CoD Mobile World Championship 2021 NA Finals. He has some notable second-place finishes as well in Mobile Mayhem Season 1: Latin America 2020, and the 2021 West Finals.
With an approximate total career winnings of $54,000 (per Liquipedia), he is a top-class professional player, having spent most of his career at ARP Gaming. Despite his allegiance to the squad, the player said in a tweet that he was dropped from the organization just days before the CoD Mobile World Championship Stage 4.
Community-run Twitter account, @CoDMobileeSports, narrated the player’s ordeal.
The ongoing Stage 4 determines the teams who will compete in the World Championship Finals. However, he was later picked up by Six Kings for Stage 4. But, the player said in a tweet that being dropped by ARP left him homeless.
Thus, he had to compete at a Mcdonald’s in the CoD Mobile World Championship for Six Kings. And the icing on the cake, the team were able to take down ARP Gaming 2-3 in an intense showdown during the regular season.

Six Kings are currently sitting in fifth place in the overall rankings with eight teams. ARP Gaming are in seventh place with no wins to their name. However, Six Kings needs to be in the top four to make it to the Playoffs, which will happen at PAX West as an on-ground event. The top three teams from here will be the NA representatives at the World Championship Finals.
CoD Mobile community showers overwhelming support for the player
After the player narrated his story, the community showed overwhelming support for the player. In a response to his tweet about being homeless, content creator Ferg asked for his PayPal to send “a month of whatever they [ARP] were paying.”
Pro player Monarch said that he was “the most passionate competitor” he’s met. Even the ESL CoD Mobile account responded to the tweet.
“Talk about really raking the “Play from anywhere” to heart! GG’s get you some fries for National French Fry Day,” the tweet said.
Stage 4 of the CoD Mobile World Championship 2023 is happening as a part of the Snapdragon Pro Series. The ongoing tournament features a prize pool of $25,200. The regular season is set to go on until July 28 with the top four teams making it to the Playoffs.
