After an intense year of action in the CoD Mobile World Championship 2023, the 16 teams who will ultimately compete in the LAN Global Finals have been locked in. Taking place from Dec. 15 to 17 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, the USA, the Finals will see the 16 teams battling it out for a share of the $1 million prize pool and the title of world champions.

The CoD Mobile World Championship has been running since 2020. The 2023 edition saw some big changes as a part of ESL’s partnership with Activision. As a part of this, many regional representatives decided through the Snapdragon Pro Series instead of a separate CoD Mobile esports circuit. Additionally, the World Finals will be one of the featured esports tournaments at the Dreamhack Atlanta and not a standalone competition.

Tickets for the Dreamhack Atlanta are currently available with a single day entry pass starting at $29. If you can’t attend the event in-person, you can tune into all the action live on the CoD Mobile esports YouTube channel.

North America has never been a formidable foe in mobile esports, but CoD Mobile is an exception. Last year, Tribe Gaming from the region earned the world champion title after a dominant year. While the organization has now signed a new roster, it will be looking to defend its title.

Another region to watch out for will be China. Last year, the region wasn’t able to leave a mark as the game was newly released in the country. However, China has one of the most developed esports ecosystems for CoD Mobile which makes the three Chinese representatives a force to be reckoned with.

While the CoD Mobile 2023 esports season will wrap up with the World Championship, teams won’t get much of a gap. As a part of ESL’s tie-up with Activision, the game has been included in the Snapdragon Mobile Masters 2024. This LAN event will happen in April 2024 with a $200,000 prize pool but qualifiers are set to begin in January 2024.
