While cheaters have always been a nuisance in Call of Duty games, their presence has become increasingly disruptive in Warzone over the past few years. Activision has taken several steps but cheaters have managed to slip through the cracks of the anti-cheat system.
Call of Duty Warzone players have criticized Activision for what appears to be a heavier focus on banning players who abuse voice and text chat compared to those who actually hack and cheat in the game.
Ban waves were implemented as a measure, but the development of the Ricochet anti-cheat system was also necessitated by these issues, with the primary goal of addressing the cheater problem.
Despite several attempts to fix the anticheat, Activision has failed to keep their game cheater free however, gamers have complained that the people who are abusing the voice chat system are getting caught more often than real cheaters who are blatantly using aimbots, wallhacks and godmodes.
Several users on reddit agreed to the claims made by _TheRealBuster_. Activision has been disproportionate about banning of cheaters to voice chat abusers. Fans are calling out the developers to just ban the blatantly obvious cheaters who go by undetected through the anti-cheat.
