Clash Royale is a real-time multiplayer card-based strategy game. However, if you have been playing the game, the question must have popped into your head on whether the game has any bots or if are you only facing real opponents.

If that’s the case, here’s the answer for you. Before we begin, it’s important to note that most multiplayer mobile games use bots. In games like PUBG Mobile, they can be easily spotted with their similar firing pattern, lack of awareness, and slow movement.

There are many reasons why developers could be using bots. One of the chief ones, though, is that they are used to populate the game and reduce wait times. The other reason is that they are used to make it easier for new players to practice and improve their skills. But, does Clash Royale have bots? Here’s the answer to the billion-dollar question.

Does Clash Royale have bots or are you only facing real players?

Supercell hasn’t publicly commented on whether Clash Royale has bots or not. However, the game likely does have bots.

It’s not surprising that the game has bots, though, due to the reasons listed above. Spotting a bot isn’t easy, however. There are many Reddit posts which attempt to assess whether the game has bots and how to spot them.

One disappointed player complained about bots in the game on a Reddit post titled ‘Bots in Clash Royale.’ The user noticed that there were players who were using similar card decks, played similarly and “like 3-year-olds” and didn’t respond to emotes or messages.

There isn’t any way in Clash Royale to increase or decrease your chances of facing a bot. It’s also unclear how frequently Supercell uses bots in the game. However, there are ways to detect when you are facing them. These are as follows:

They usually have a simple one-word name.
Bots also use simple decks and don’t play very well or strategize in-game.
They are unresponsive to emotes and messages.
Lastly, they aren’t a part of any clan.

While the lower trophy levels face a higher number of bots, you will keep facing lesser and lesser as you level up in the game.
