Release: When will Dragon Age: Dreadwolf be released?

Dreadwolf does not currently have an official release date. The role-playing game is due to be unveiled in summer 2024. We should receive concrete information on the release date by then at the latest.

Rumors at times assumed a release in 2024. This has not been officially confirmed The only thing that is clear is that Dragon Age 4 will be unveiled in summer 2024

In October 2022, the developers announced  that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf (had reached a new milestone)  had. The role-playing game should be playable from start to finish, according to a blog post. The graphics are now being optimized and gameplay features are being further developed.

Here you can directly watch the trailer with the reveal date for Dreadwolf:

Platforms: What does Dreadwolf appear on?

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be released on these platforms:

PC

PS5

Xbox Series X/S

On PC, you will have the opportunity to purchase the RPG on (Steam) or the (Epic Games Store) . Product pages have already been created on both platforms. It is also likely that Dreadwolf will be released as part of EA Play Pro.

Xbox One and PS4 will not get a version. This is according to a LinkedIn description of the lead designer and was confirmed by the well-informed website (VentureBeat) also via an unnamed source.

Setting and story: Where is the role-playing game set?

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is set in various lands of Thedas. Bioware confirmed this in their post on (Dragon Age Day 2023)

The Empire of Tevinter was announced first (Bioware confirmed Tevinter as the setting) 2021 in their official book for the studio’s 25th anniversary. We have never been able to visit the dangerous mage kingdom ourselves

In addition to Tevinter, we will also be able to explore Antiva, Revain and Anderfels in Dragon Age 4. There are probably other locations too.

In Tevinter the mages are in power, dark arts like blood magic are not as frowned upon as in the rest of the world.

The following key points about the story are already known:

New hero: As the Game Awards trailer revealed, we’re playing a completely new character this time, so our Inquisitor isn’t coming back, at least not as the main character. Apparently we’re a real nobody this time, not one of fate’s chosen ones.

Old acquaintances: However, we certainly won’t have to do without old faces entirely – if Varric’s statements in the trailer are to be believed, then he will probably be back as a companion. Perhaps other companions from previous parts will also reappear? Because of the announced Tevinter setting, the mage and fan favorite Dorian, for example, would be a good choice.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf continues the story of Inquisition and we meet a familiar antagonist. Of course, you’ll know who the “Dreadwolf” is once you’ve played through Inquisition.

In teasers, red lyrium also appeared Lyrium is a crystalline, magical substance that mages and templars use to strengthen their special abilities. It gives users great power, but corrupts their minds.

(Red lyrium erupting from the ground is a pretty bad sign.)

Gameplay: How does the RPG play?

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be a role-playing game, that should be clear. Beyond that, however, there is little information on what the gameplay will look like.

What is clear, however, is that the RPG will be a single-player game. Originally, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf was supposed to have a strong focus on live service and multiplayer elements. But EA rowed back and confirmed that the role-playing game will offer a purely single-player experience

In Dreadwolf we will once again assemble a colorful group of different characters, to brave the dangers in the game. Friendships, dramas and romances will play a role within the group. It is not yet known whether it will be based more on the classic role-playing game Origins or the more action-packed Inquisition.

In February 2023 there was a major gameplay leak, which probably showed early gameplay of Dreadwolf. However, it is unclear how representative the gameplay shown there actually is of the role-playing game.
