EA Sports FC 24 was released a few weeks ago and received 2 major updates since then. Now the next major patch has been released

The next major update for EA’s football game FC 24 has been released recently. This applies to all available platforms. So you would need to download a major update on PC as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and even Switch.

These are the highlights of Update 3

Update 3 is the biggest update for FC 24 so far and contains a long list of different optimisations and improvements. The respective improvements are not really big in themselves. But in its sum, the update could have an enormous impact on the gameplay. Here are some of the more notable changes:

The ball is now hit out much further on manual clearances.

On the ground the ball will now move a little slower.

Players who can throw in far will be selected more often when the throw-in is taken far inside the opponent’s half.

Players without the interception style of play could also use manoeuvres designed for this purpose.

Referees make more sensible decisions when a foul occurs while shielding a ball.

When shooting, the ball should now not go through the foot of a straddling defender.

Various trick moves have been adjusted and should work better.

The wish list in career mode should work as intended.

In Ultimate Team, Ada Hegerberg should no longer cause problems and will be available again soon.

In Clubs, drop-in matches should no longer cause disconnection.

A particularly fun fix is that goalkeepers can now celebrate exuberantly when they make a good save. Let them have it.

(On Reddit) players exchange views about the patches and are quite unanimous that not all bugs have been fixed yet by far. For many, FC 24 still doesn’t seem to reach the level of playability that they actually want.
