Next week, a first-of-its-kind LAN event will take place in London, as the city plays host to the World Series of Warzone Global Final. It’s set to be a monumental event, with fifty of the world’s sharpest Warzone teams descending upon the city in an attempt to win the lion’s share of the $600,000 prize pool. However, it was recently revealed that viewers can get in on the action, and if they watch the event live online, they could win a free MWIII beta code.

Typically, Call of Duty’s esports events boast an array of viewer rewards just waiting to be unlocked by those checking out the action. It doesn’t matter if you’re watching on Twitch or YouTube, you’ll be eligible to score some neat in-game rewards. There are a few catches in this instance, but just for watching the World Series of Warzone, you could win a free beta code for MWII.

Here’s how you can do it.

This is where the catches start. Firstly, you’ll need to make sure that your chosen Twitch or YouTube account is linked to your Call of Duty account. Then, you’ll need to tune in on September 16th when the event goes live and you’ll need to watch at least one hour of gameplay to secure ‘one ticket’ to the prize draw. For each hour you watch (for a maximum of three entries), you’ll be granted an extra ticket, improving your chances up to threefold.

Here’s the next catch – there are only 50,000 MWIII beta codes to be won. You’ll be facing a lot of competition in that respect – last year, the NA Finals drew in almost 300,000 concurrent viewers alone.

Still, if you were already planning on tuning in to this historic event, the potential to land a free MWIII beta code is just the icing on the cake. This monumental tournament features 150 of the most recognised, talented Warzone players in the world, and they’re almost all arriving in London to compete in Call of Duty for the first time ever. This is the first time that Warzone has been played this way on LAN and it’s being broadcast from the United Kingdom.

There are also rumours circulating suggesting that any fan attending the event in person automatically qualifies for a free MWIII beta code.

When is the MWIII Beta?

It was recently revealed that the Modern Warfare III beta will be kicking off on October 6th for PlayStation users. It’ll run in a staggered fashion up until October 16th, during which it’ll open and close across the three key platforms: PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. If you’re lucky enough to land one of these MWIII beta codes, you’ll be straight in the door when the beta goes live on your platform of choice.

Otherwise, you can wait for the open beta phases:

8th – 10th October (PlayStation)
12th – 13th October (PlayStation)
14th – 16th October (All Platforms)

Don’t forget to tune in to the World Series of Warzone Global Final when it goes live on September 16th!
