Evil Geniuses (EG) decided to part ways with keenc from their VALORANT Game Changers team. This decision was a result of the player’s remarks, which starkly contradicted the league’s principles. This significant move by EG was announced on October 13, shortly after their triumphant victory against Version1 in the 2023 VCT GC Series Three.

EG has expressed their intention to work closely with Riot Games concerning their forthcoming participation in the Game Changers Championship scheduled to be held in São Paulo, Brazil. The decision to remove the player was taken after certain comments came to light that were deemed “intensely inappropriate, hateful, and misogynistic.”

The organization was quick to emphasize that such behavior is intolerable within their ranks.

The allegations were brought to the forefront on Twitter on October 11. One of the accusers shared a video showcasing their chat history where ‘keenc’ allegedly made inappropriate remarks. Another post highlighted ‘keenc’s’ alleged attempts to persuade someone to share provocative content.

‘Keenc’ did not remain silent and addressed these allegations directly. However, the statement, which expressed regret and an apology for his actions, was later removed. Notably, ‘keenc’ had showcased an impressive performance in EG’s victorious series, with commendable stats. With the Game Changers World Championship commencing on November 28, EG is now faced with the challenge of finding a replacement player within a short span.

Game Changers has always been a sanctuary for women and individuals from marginalized genders. The hope remains that such incidents will not deter the league from upholding its core values.
