Honorable Mention: Revenant Esports

Before we get to the top 3 teams, there is one thing that has to be mentioned, and that’s Revenant Esports. The new roster of Revenant Esports has been on top form since their formation. The roster consists of the likes of the Sensei, Fierce, AquaNox, and Blaze. AquaNox and Blaze were previously a part of Gods Reign. Sensei and Fierce have been a duo together since 2021 and joined Revenant Esports in 2023.

Recently, the team won The Multiverse Series 2024 by Upthrust Esports, which marked the first victory for the organization in BGMI. Revenant Esports will be one of the teams that fans should keep their eyes on at Challenge Finals.

Number 3: Gods Reign

In 2024, Gods Reign signed the entire roster of Gladiator Esports on a 3-year deal. The new roster of Gods Reign consists of Destro, Justin, Shogun, and DeltaPG with Vedzz as their new coach.

2023 was the year of dominance for this BGMI roster. They won the BGMI Masters Series Season 2 and the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023. Following this, they came in 7th place at the India – Korea Invitational as well as the Skyesports Championship 5.0. Ultimately, however, they finished the year strong with a second position at the Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series (BMPS) 2023 in December.

Number 2: Global Esports

Global Esports had quite a wavey ride of form in 2023. They had an incredible 2022 winning a plethora of events during the year. 2023 just didn’t hit the same for the organization. Their best performance at the time was coming 4th at the BGMS season two. The current year, however, could turn their fortunes around with a new BGMI roster.

Global Esports retained Mavi and NinjaBoi from their 2023 roster. They followed this up by signing slug, Beast, and Arclyn toward the end of 2023. During the Challenge Season, they finished in the second position. Global Esports were the most aggressive team in this stage and racked up 206 finishes. This was 23 more than iQOO Soul which finished in 3rd position.

Global Esports have another reason to perform and that is Mavi. Mavi, back in 2020, had won the ESL India Premiership 2020 Summer Season: Finals with Orange Rock Esports. This would make him the reigning ESL Snapdragon BGMI champion to be taking part in the LAN.

Number 1: Can Team Soul win the ESL Snapdragon BGMI LAN 2024?

If you follow the current BGMI esports ecosystem, there has been one team that has been dominating for the last few months. It’s none other than the new roster for iQOO Soul. Consisting of some of the best players in the scene, it features Manya, NakuL, Jokerr, Rony, and Spower.

This team was previously a part of Blind Esports. In 2023, they were the most successful BGMI esports team, winning the Skyesports Champions Series, the Upthrust Esports Challengers Showdown, the Skyesports Championship 5.0, and the BMPS 2023. The BMPS is the first win for the players at an official event. This team did finish fourth as well in the India – Korea Invitational.

In 2024 so far, they have won the Multiverse Series and finished second in the group stages of the iQOO Pro Series 2024.

It must be stated that while all the signs would be pointing to iQOO Soul winning the title with ease, there is another element that everyone needs to watch out for. S8UL is one of the biggest esports organizations in the world, and with that title comes high expectations. During the BMPS 2023, as Team Soul was taking part in the event, the majority of the fans who attended the event were fans of the team. This tournament is going to be no different. Thus, the ESL Snadpragon BGMI Finals will be the first LAN for the new team under the prestigious Soul moniker. Only time will tell if the expectations get too much for the team, resulting in another squad taking the throne.
