Skyesports, one of the most popular South Asian tournament organizers (TO), has been continuously making waves in the community. Following the grand success of the Skyesports Masters 2023, which was arguably India’s biggest CS:GO event, the organization is gearing up for another monumental event – the Skyesports Championship 5.0.

Skyesports India’s CEO and Founder, Shiva Nandy, recently unveiled a significant update regarding the forthcoming championship. Taking to X (previously known as Twitter), Nandy announced the participation of two ‘important’ European teams in the Skyesports Championship 5.0. While the esports community eagerly awaits the revelation of these teams’ identities, the anticipation and excitement surrounding the event have undoubtedly reached new heights.

Another significant announcement from Nandy was the game choice for the championship. He announced that The Skyesports Championship 5.0 will feature Counter-Strike 2 instead of CS:GO. This decision aligns with the ongoing trend in the esports community, as many are transitioning to this new version of the iconic game. The move to Counter-Strike 2 signifies not just a change in the game but also an evolution in gameplay, strategies, and dynamics, promising a fresh and exhilarating experience for both players and viewers.

While the participation of European teams and the game choice have been confirmed, the esports community is on the edge of their seats for more details. The TO has not revealed the specific dates for the Skyesports Championship 5.0 and information about the participating teams. Given Skyesports’ track record and the success of their previous events, the upcoming tournament promises to be a landmark event in the esports calendar.
