Fortnite OG weapons have been reintroduced along with the old Fortnite map and other features for the current season. The map is a big draw to the game, but getting classic weapons like the Fortnite OG pump is pretty big too.

These guns are a major part of what made Fortnite so fun back in Chapter. In Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5 (where OG started) The loot pool was a lot more basic that we’ve seen in more recent seasons. Over time though we’ve seen quite a few different items get added back in. As Fortnite OG has wound through Chapter 1 seasons, we’ve seen major new additions in the game.

These are all of the Fortnite OG weapons that have made a return. Including one that’s an imposter in the OG roster, originally arriving in Chapter 3.

New Items in OG and Changes to Classics

Fortnite OG is a flashback season, but Epic has made a few changes. Epic has decided to include a modern high mobility item in a small way. The Grapple Glove is currently in the game.

This item is a re-skin of the web-slingers. It completely changes the pace of a game. Players can zip around the map in a way that was simply impossible in OG Fortnite proper. This item is balanced though, players an only find it in a small portion of supply drops.

Another bigger change is to maybe Fortnite’s most popular weapon, the OG Pump. This weapon used to allow a tactic called doubling pumping, where you quickly switch back and forth between pumps to get around the long reload time. Epic addressed this a while ago adding a cooldown when switching between shotguns. While the Fortnite OG Pump is back, the cooldown means double pumping is never coming back.

The Fortnite OG weapons really do help the game feel like it did in Chapter 1. While unintended mechanics like doubling pumping are gone, the game’s weapons still take us back to Chapter 1.
