It’s that time again: At the Epic Store you can get a new free game for one week, if you have an account. theHunter unsurprisingly lets you become a virtual hunter. As a simulation, the game focuses on a detailed and realistic representation of the profession. After you have chosen the right weapon from a large arsenal of rifles, shotguns, revolvers and compound bows, you set off into extraordinarily large, freely explorable hunting grounds.
Once there, you must track and kill your prey with patience: You move slowly so as not to frighten the wild animals. You’ll also have to examine hoof prints and animal droppings to get clues about the animals’ whereabouts. You even have to pay attention to the wind direction if you don’t want to be thundered. Once you have your prey in your crosshairs, it is important to take a clean shot so that the animal does not suffer unnecessarily.

For whom? As already mentioned, you should have a lot of patience for theHunter. Sometimes it takes half an hour to find the animal you are looking for. If you are also interested in hunting and nature, you will probably enjoy the lonely forays. If you want to understand the fascination behind the simulation, let Christian explain it to you.

Free content for Idle Champions

The strategic management game Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is already Free2Play, but is giving away bonus content for new and existing players on the Epic Games Store.

Have you played one of the games yourself and can recommend it? Or are you going completely empty-handed this time? Feel free to post it in the comments!
