From action and horror to investigations in the Wild West, the Steam Next Fest is also underway and Skull and Bones is offering an open beta

Have a few free hours at the weekend but don’t quite know what to play? Maybe there’s something suitable in the free games on Steam and Epic! This time the mix is particularly wild, we’ll show you the individual titles right away

Also remember: The Steam Next Fest runs until Monday, February 12th. That means thousands of demos of upcoming or already released games are available for free over the weekend, so you can check out your wishlist candidates for yourself.

Doki Doki Literature Club

Get it free and keep it permanently until: February 15 at 5pm (at Epic)

Doki Doki Literature Club is best if you just go in blind and don’t know exactly what to expect. Just this much in advance: It’s not your typical cute anime game. Take the hints from the developers seriously, a few … delicate things will happen.

Not for the faint-hearted, but definitely an unforgettable experience – if you plunge into the unknown. Community manager Mary’s eyes always light up when she meets someone who hasn’t played Doki Doki before. Whether you take that as a good or a bad sign, we’ll leave it up to you

West Hunt

Free to play until: February 15 on Steam

The official description of this game suffers from a moderate case of translation erroritis: “West Hunt is a multiplayer social deduction game for one to four players set in the Wild West.”

Of course, “social deduction” is meant, i.e. a genre in which you find out the plans of your fellow players and then thwart or support them. Well-known representatives are Among Us or Werewolf.

West Hunt is set in the Wild West, you are either a bandit or a sheriff. The outlaws hide among the villagers and want to rob, the lawmen have to track them down and eliminate them – but never kill innocent people! There are different modes such as 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 and 1 vs Bot.
