GodLike Esports was one of the most successful Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) teams in the esports scene. However, the team has recently encountered obstacles which have prevented them from performing up to the mark set by them previously. Amar “AmaR” Changude, the co-owner of GodLike Esports, recently offered invaluable insights into the factors contributing to the Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) team’s downturn in performance.
In a recent livestream, Amar recently went online to discuss GodLike Esports with its fanbase. During this, he pointed out that the frequent changes in the organization’s BGMI roster was the main culprit behind the team’s stint of poor performance as it created instability in the team. “If I had to point out a mistake from our end so far, it would be that we made a lot of changes. We changed our roster after every tournament. See, we first took Maccc, then replaced him with Apollo. That is a change. Before this, we took Spower, ClutchGod also played, and there were more such changes. There were so many shuffles in the playing four. And because of that, there were issues,” he said.
Talking about the organization’s future plans to get back on track, Amar emphasized that if the current roster performs well, GodLike Esports will refrain from making further changes. “If the team is playing extremely poorly, then we will think about it then. But there will be no changes anytime soon,” he added.
Amar Reveals GodLike Esports’ BGMI Roster Indeed Had a Coach
Amar also clarified that contrary to speculations, GodLike Esports did indeed sign a coach during the past tournaments. “Those who thought that we didn’t have a coach during the recent elimination, we had a coach and we communicated with him properly. But the thing was, the coach was not Indian, he was from Mongolia. At that time, the coach had some health issues, so they couldn’t give much time. He used to guide well, but couldn’t work full-time,” he said.
The acknowledgment of past missteps could actually play a crucial role in the comeback of Godlike Esports’ BGMI roster. Previously, renowned Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) caster Zeeshan “Mazy” Alam also pointed out that the frequent roster changes was the root cause of GodLike Esports’ poor performance. It will be interesting to see if GodLike Esports retain their former glory.
