Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is an adaptation of the popular comic book series from creator Mike Mignola and Dark Horse Comics. Developer Upstream Arcade and publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment have recently released a new trailer, making some fans quite emotional.
He’s bright red, messes with all kinds of monsters and always has a cool line on his lips. The anti-hero Hellboy has been a household name for many action fans at least since the films with Ron Perlman.
Upstream Arcade and Good Shepherd Entertainment are currently working on his latest adventure entitled Hellboy: Web of Wyrd.
In terms of content, the story revolves around the Butterfly House built in 1962, but it’s not just an imposing building. It also serves as a portal to a terrible dimension known as Wyrd When an agent from the B.U.A.P. (Bureau of Paranormal Investigation and Defense) fails to return from investigating the building, Hellboy has to get on the case himself and investigate the strange occurrences at the site. And we all know that “investigating Hellboy-style” means, above all, a good beating.
With Hellboy: Web of Wyrd, you can expect an action-packed roguelike brawler that is graphically inspired by the style of the comics. To stand a chance against the nightmarish creatures of another dimension, you can use an arsenal of ranged and melee weapons. Combine their attacks and unlock powerful combos.
The great artists behind Hellboy: Web of Wyrd
For this new adventure from Big Red, the developers are working with series creator Mike Mignola, so you can expect a truly authentic experience. In addition, Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is said to tie together several other story strands so that the title fits seamlessly into the rest of the lore.
By the way, the now deceased Lance Reddick lent his voice to the anti-hero. A fact that didn’t leave some fans cold when the latest trailer was unveiled.
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is set to release on an as yet unconfirmed date for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
