Homeworld 3 is in the starting blocks

Homeworld 3, the long awaited chapter in the sci-fi strategy game series, has announced its worldwide release date: On March 8, 2024 the game will be available on PC via platforms such as Steam and the Epic Games Store . Pre-orders for Homeworld 3 are open now, with players who pre-order the Fleet Command Edition or the Collector’s Edition having the opportunity to play the game as early as March 5, 2024.

The game has been voted the most anticipated PC game of 2024 by a panel of 70 members of the global games industry. Blackbird Interactive, the development team, emphasizes that Homeworld 3 is a game over 20 years in the making and aims to deliver the ultimate sci-fi strategy game.

Various editions available for the launch of Homeworld 3

Homeworld 3 is available for pre-order in various editions, including Standard, Deluxe, Fleet Command and Collector’s Edition. Each pre-order unlocks the exclusive “Kushan Carrier” wargame skin. Additionally, players who pre-order the Fleet Command Edition or Collector’s Edition will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the game 72 hours before global launch.

The Deluxe Edition, Fleet Command Edition and Collector’s Edition include the Year One Pass, which provides new downloadable content for co-opRoguelike mode  “War Games” throughout the year.

Homeworld 3 promises a new story in the Homeworld universe, where players take command of the fleet as Imogen S’jet to unravel the mystery of a dangerous anomaly. With enhanced 3D RTS gameplay, cover-based tactics and realistic ballistic simulations, the game promises more dynamic space combat.

The Collector’s Edition offers exclusive physical extras such as a World War 2-style spotter deck, keychain, lithograph and scale ship models.
