Average VALORANT Game length

The average length of a VALORANT match can vary depending on the game mode and the number of rounds. Here’s the average duration for each mode:

Competitive: 30 to 45 minutes
Unrated and Spike Rush: 30 to 40 minutes and 10 to 15 minutes, respectively
Deathmatch, Escalation, Replication: 7 to 10 minutes

The length of a VALORANT match is usually impacted by the skill level of the players. For instance, higher-ranked players tend to have more balanced and competitive matches, which can last longer than average. At the same time, lower-ranked players may have more one-sided or unpredictable matches, which can end faster or slower than average.

Apart from this, some elements of the game, such as overtime and surrender votes, can also affect the length of the match. Overtime is when the score is tied at 12-12, and the teams have to play extra rounds until one team wins by two points. A surrender vote, on the other hand, is when a team decides to forfeit or remake the match before it ends.

What is the longest a VALORANT game can last?

Competitive mode is where VALORANT players have to commit most of their time, as it typically lasts from 30 to 45 minutes. It follows a best-of-25-round format, with each round having a time limit.

Unrated mode is similar to competitive mode but without the pressure of rankings. It also follows a best-of-25-round format but with a slightly shorter round time.

If you’re a beginner and want to experience a faster and more chaotic version of the standard mode, then you should definitely try out the Spike rush mode. It follows a best-of-seven-round format, with each round lasting only two minutes.
