Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the new kid on the block when it comes to Assassin’s Creed. Between its predecessor – Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – and this release itself, the longest duration between Assassin’s Creed titles has passed us by. Fans are eagerly awaiting the all-new adventure, and it has already been confirmed that it’s going to be more like the classic games than ever before. But there’s one question we’re eager to answer today – how long is Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

It’s a smaller game, that much has been confirmed. We know that it’s only featuring one city – Baghdad – and a little of the surrounding area. It has also been confirmed that, at present, no expansions are planned for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. There’s still plenty to do in the game, but it’s certainly not going to be an overwhelming RPG-based epic. So, how long is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and how much effort will it take to complete everything in the game?

How Long Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

It was reported that the Assassin’s Creed Mirage story can be finished in around 20 hours, and all content (including collectables) can be completed in just 30 – 35 hours. That makes Assassin’s Creed Mirage the shortest game since 2015’s Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

That’s because, originally, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was supposed to be nothing more than an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Funnily enough, Valhalla is the longest Assassin’s Creed game – it takes hundreds of hours to complete everything that the game has to offer, and it received more expansions and DLCs than any other AC game in history. It was a phenomenal title, but for some, it was just too long and too bulky to realistically finish in full.

Fortunately, Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s development pivoted, and it became a full, standalone release. That’s nothing short of a miracle for fans of the classic Assassin’s Creed games, as it means that it’s a much more digestible, accessible adventure that they can realistically finish in just a few days if they’re dedicated. It’s nothing short of a return to form for the franchise, taking players back to the era that spanned from 2007 to 2015 and featured Assassin’s Creed games that typically took place in a single city.

Can You Complete Everything in Assassin’s Creed Mirage?

It’s a fair question – these days, games release with so much to do in them that it can be suffocating. There will be post-launch roadmaps, expansions planned left, right, and centre, and more side quests and item hunts than most players can even stand. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was a fantastic game, it was the perfect representation of a ‘bloated’ game. In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, we’ll almost certainly have a wide array of side content to enjoy, but it won’t be anywhere near as bloated as the likes of Valhalla – or Odyssey and Origins, for that matter. At present, we know that there’s a lengthy side mode called History of Baghdad, which will see players explore the ancient city and learn about its politics, culture, law, and religion, with the ultimate goal of unlocking exclusive rewards.

It’s very doable, and that’s a huge win for Assassin’s Creed fans that have felt overloaded with content in recent years.
