There’s nothing worse than suddenly dying after miss-throwing your utility on a practice server. To prevent that from happening and spare players from needless stress, everyone should be using the god mode CS2 command in training modes.
Here’s our guide to how to use God mode and never suffer another death.
What is God Mode CS2?
God mode is a CS2 console command that enables players to take unlimited damage without dying. It can be used when training on a practice map or playing around with friends on a private server.
God mode has changed in CS2, with the old CS:GO command no longer working. Now, the Buddha command is used to enable god mode.
Additionally, the use of each command has slightly changed from game to game. Back in CS:GO, activating the god mode command would protect the player from taking any damage, with their HP remaining at 100. However, in CS2, after activating the buddha command, you are still subject to taking damage. However, once you’re left with 1HP, you won’t be susceptible to any more harm.
How to Turn on God Mode CS2
Enable Console
First, you need to enable the developer console. Head to the in-game settings and go to the Game tab. Then, find the Enable Developer Console (~) option and select Yes. After doing so, you can access the console using the ~ or ` key.
Enable Cheats
Before using the god command, you need to enable cheats. To do so, input the following command into the developer console: sv_cheats 1. Remember that this cannot be done in official Valve game modes, like Premier or Competitive.
Run the Command
Once you’ve hopped on the server, open the developer console and run this command: buddha true. With the command active, your health will not go below the 1HP threshold, thus making you invincible.
It’s important to note that the Buddha mode applies to every player connected to the server and even bots. However, with the help of another command, the Buddha mode for bots can be disabled. Just run this command: buddha_bots_ignore true.
