After FIFA/EA SPORTS FC and League of Legends, the next eSports discipline is now apparently on the horizon for Eintracht Frankfurt. Rumors about an entry into Valorant are growing online
While FC Schalke 04 once served as the eSports figurehead of the Bundesliga clubs, Eintracht Frankfurt is currently preparing to take over the position.
The traditional Hessian club is one of the few clubs in the top flight to have dealt intensively with the topic of eSports in the past. In addition to its involvement in EA SPORTS FC, formerly known as FIFA, the club also runs its own League of Legends team, which competes in the highest national league as part of the Prime League.
Eintracht Frankfurt x Valorant?
Now there are more and more reports on the net, primarily on various social media channels, that Eintracht apparently wants to expand its own eSports commitment and plans to devote itself to another title from Riot Games in addition to League of Legends with Valorant.

However, should these rumors prove to be true, this would be a first in the world of professional clubs. So far, none of the Bundesliga teams have ventured into the world of FPS (First Person Shooter, editor’s note). These have so far been described by officials as too brutal or not in line with a club’s values.
