The Capcom Cup is the biggest fighting game tournament on the horizon at the moment, and we’re we’ve already got quite a few of our competitors locked in. It’s interesting to see which players have made it in, but also which characters are proving stronger. Capcom Cup representation is a different way to look at the balance of power between the top SF 6 characters.
The players who have qualified to the Cup are a great measure of who the top competitors are. Looking at the characters who have been qualified, more than once in some cases, can show which are performing the strongest in Street Fighter 6 esports. A recent breakdown has shed more light on this, with a few surprising picks coming out on top.
Capcom Cup Representation for Characters
Looking at the 23 players who have already qualified for the Capcom Cup, we can see the representation breaks down like this.
Luke – 5 Players
Ken – 4 Players
Dee Jay – 4 Players
JP – 3 Players
This Capcom Cup representation shows there’s a handful of clear stand outs so far. Ken and Dee Jay aren’t the most surprising, especially considering that they’re often held up as the more broken characters in Street Fighter 6 tier lists. However, Luke is a little more surprising. He’s even at the very top of the list.
Is Ken the Best Street Fighter 6 Character?
Looking at the Capcom Cup representation, Ken appears to be the most successful character at the highest tier of the game. The new protagonist of Street Fighter 6 has found his way to the top of competitive play. While he often isn’t focused on as those players think are broken. These numbers would seem to say he’s up there. Compared to characters who also make the list, Ken is probably the least controversial. Hopefully when we finally get SF 6 balance adjustments though, we’ll see more characters reach this tier of play.
Quite a few of the key characters in SF 6 have multiple players in the Capcom Cup. However, it looks like we’re going to see a pretty diverse roster of characters taking part in the final for the tournament.
