The Brawlhalla Summer Royale for 2023 has just concluded! Coming just at the start of September, this was a big Invitational event. The best players from each region were invited to an in-person LAN, competing in Atlanta to find the top player for the current season. These events are always a highlight for Brawlhalla, wrapping up a whole season of competitive tournaments. Who came out on top of the Brawllhallla Summer Royale for 2023 though?
Brawlhalla Summer Royale
The Brawlhalla Summer Royale is an invitational tournament, with just a smaller roster of champions from each region. For this tournament, we saw the top 3 players from North America and North America compete. That’s along with the top 2 players from South America all 8 players competed in a round robin bracket before a top 4 bracket to find the champion. Although, things went pretty differently to the Spring Royale.
In the Round Robin section, a few players got off to a particularly strong start. Kyna only lost a couple of matchups, and dominated in those that he won. Godly managed to match this performance too though. Although, in their direct match he won 3-0. This set the stage for the final bracket.
Final Bracket
In the Brawlhalla Summer Royale we saw Kyna enter in the highest seeding, facing Godly after they both performed well in Round Robin. Kyna continued his strong performance though, winning 3-0 and moving on to the Grand Final.
This knocked Godly down to the losers final. Here he faced Sandstorm who just won that spot after winning 3-2 to Neeze. Godly got back into the final again though with a clean 3-0 win. While the first match between Kyna and Godly wasn’t so even, the player had a chance to turn things around here. Unfortunately for them, Kyna repeated their feet in the second match-up. Once again beating out Godly with a clean 3-0 win.
This performance from Kyna at the Brawlhalla Summer Royale definitely marks the player out. As we approach the World Championship, these kinds of performances make the player one to watch at the end-of-year event.
