With the transfer window period coming up soon, Fnatic are looking to set their eyes on Korean import support player Jun.

Jun will be taking over Trymbi’s spot in Fnatic

Support player Yoon “Jun” Se-jun has reached a verbal agreement with Fnatic in the LoL EMEA Championship (LEC) for the 2024 season, according to a report from Sheep Esports. The Korean support will be taking over the spot left by Polish player Adrian “Trymbi” Trybus.

Sheep Esports also revealed that the LEC team considered many supports throughout the off-season, including Kamil “kamilius” Košťál, Polat “Parus” Furkan Çiçek, Mertai “Mersa” Sari, and Théo “Zoelys” Le Scornec. In the end, however, the British organization decided to go for the Korean player.

With IgNar also reportedly joining the LEC on XL Esports in 2024, this is the second Korean player to be added to the European League this offseason. This leaves many domestic talents without a potential spot on the LEC teams, considering that most teams have reached verbal agreements in those positions. The only three squads with vacant spots are Team Vitality, Infinity Reality’s unnamed LEC team, and Team BDS.

Jun’s career in the LCK

Born in 2000, Jun started his professional career on the DRX Academy team at the age of 20. The player stayed in the organization until the end of 2022, with a best result of third in the LCK CL Spring. Jun joined KDF at the end of last year and played on the starting roster until early July, before being moved to a substitute position. KDF finished 7th and 10th in the two respective splits.

Even though the results are not ideal, Korean players are notoriously known for their mechanics. And considering ADC Noah is set to remain on the Fnatic roster (contract expiring in 2025), the two will form a full Korean bot lane which might help Jun settle in faster. The rest of the lineup, however, is yet to be confirmed, which raises interest in which players Fnatic will go for in 2024.
