LCS Top Lane Power Rankings – 2024 Spring Split

5. Sniper

Sniper has been one of the most-hyped talents in the NA scene for quite a while. Now that he’s finally eligible to participate in the league, we can finally see what the Canadian player is capable of. Mechanics-wise, I have no worries that he’ll do fine, and with the top lane becoming harder to gank in the new season, individual talent will matter more. He might struggle if the meta doesn’t fully match his top picks, but he can go for plenty of champions in this meta.

4. Impact

Impact continues to be a solid top laner, despite not having the same level of dominance from past years. We saw very little of him on non-tank champions, which might raise some doubts heading into the new season.

As long as he’s able to stabilize the top lane matchup, TL has plenty of firepower elsewhere on the map to get to victories. I would be surprised to see Impact change his playstyle completely, especially given how effective it has always been throughout the years. If it works out, though, then Impact would probably get into the top three among LCS top laners.

3. Dhokla

After a strong start in Spring, Dhokla fell off a bit during the 2023 summer split, as he often fell behind in terms of stats. While he could handle most matchups, he wasn’t winning the laning phases. And even though it is harder to have a high level of influence as a top laner, I probably expected a bit more from him overall.

The thing is NRG always sacrificed the top side of the map to enable their mid and bot, so I’m still bullish on Dhokla’s ability heading into the new season. I’m curious to see if he’s able to bring out new picks and whether he can become one of NRG’s shining points: his performance will directly impact NRG’s hopes at the title this year.

2. Fudge

Similar to Dhokla, Fudge wasn’t the dominant force we used to witness in the past years on Cloud9. Nonetheless, he was still among the very best. And with the meta taking a positive turn for him, I have the general feeling he will impress us more in 2024.

The meta shift should help him as I’m expecting more carry-oriented champions. And given C9’s potential across the entire roster, Fudge should be fighting for the top spot in the league.

1. Bwipo

Even though Bwipo took a break from competitive, I still rate him quite highly given his game knowledge and approach to LoL. I don’t think there are many players out there who are as analytical as he is while also having exquisite mechanical skills.

I might be a bit biased here but Bwipo has always been known for his extravagant champion pool and flexibility, and these two factors are going to be essential in the new season. Getting priority in the top lane matchup can net great results in the early-game phase and being able to have counter picks ready for most situations will allow FlyQuest to get edges in the drafts. As a result, Bwipo deserves the no.1 spot in the LCS top lane rankings.
