A new trailer has been launched to tease the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1. A new live action Mortal Kombat 1 trailer has been released, showcasing former wrestler Dave Bautista showing off some of the characters and lore from the upcoming Mortal Kombat title.
The new live action trailer is purely looking at the upcoming fighting game. While this is in live action starring a pretty well-known actor, it’s completely unrelated to any live action movies that are coming. It is a nice hint about what’s coming with the new fighter though and what we can expect from the plot and lore of the game.
Live Action Mortal Kombat Trailer
The new live action Mortal Kombat trailer is a creative way to showcase the game. Seemingly as graphics for games have hit this current peak where there’s really no space to go for visual fidelity, devs have decided to return to using live action to advertise them! The new trailer features Dave Bautista, in character as a MK character. Calling on players to join the fight against an upcoming threat.
As far we know from Mortal Kombat 1 leaks, there isn’t any in-game link to Dave Bautista. He isn’t playing a character or represented by a fighter. Strangely, this is kind of similar to a recent advertising campaign from Overwatch. That saw another former wrestler appear in live action adverts but having no link to the game overall. It’s interesting to see Mortal Kombat 1 getting trailed by story content though.
The new Mortal Kombat 1 release date is coming up really fast now. We’re just a few weeks away from the full game launching in September. Once the game releases, we’ll find out more about the title’s story and how the lines delivered in the Mortal Kombat 1 live action trailer tie in to the plot of the game.
