The new League of Legends patch is just around the corner. On 13.13 Varus gets a new voice-over. There are also hints of the new champion Naafiri.

LoL patch 13.13 has a lot in store. Besides a new voice-over for ADC Varus, there are some balance changes to various champions. Furthermore, the patch brings more hints about the new champion Naafiri.

LoL Patch 13.13 – Release Date

The new League of Legends patch will go live on 28 June.

Until then you can already test the changes on the PBE server.

LoL Patch 13.13 – New Varus Voice-Over

After Varus already got a visual overhaul in 2021, the ADC is now to get a fresh voice-over as well. The team that conceived the new voice lines was inspired by Varus’ personality in the Legends of Runeterra card game, among other things.

In addition to the revamped voice lines, new interactions with other champions are also likely to be added.

For example, a new line from Varus taunts the spelling of Aatrox’s name:

Aatrox, brother, the double A thing is absurd and you know it.

LoL Patch 13.13 – Notes on “Naafiri “

Hidden in Varus’ new voice-over are some cynical sayings as well as a few clues that tell us a bit more about the next planned champion, “Naafiri “

Hounds, Naafiri? You make me grateful for my vessels.

While there have been some rumours about this before, this new voice line from Varus now seems to confirm it. Naafiri will be some kind of canine creature (Hound) or at least be able to take on a dog or wolf-like form.
