After many years of waiting, possible medieval tipple Manor Lords has finally received an Early Access launch date
Keep the name Manor Lords in mind! Because this building game could soon be making a big splash. The project from a single developer is already on the wish list of many gamers and has already shown with a demo that there is something extraordinary coming.
For years now, fans have been waiting to finally hear about a release date, and now the time has finally come. On the Xbox Partner Preview, a date has actually been given for Manor Lords to go into Early Access:
On April 26, 2024 the building game will be released on Steam and GOG – and actually on Xbox Game Pass.
From the beginning in Game Pass
Originally, 2023 was still considered a rough guide for a release, but now it’s clear that the game won’t be released until 2024. But at least it will be available in Game Pass and that is very good news for two reasons.
Since the game will be released in Game Pass, subscribers to the service won’t have to pay extra to play the build-up game directly. So that could save some money.
Integration into Game Pass once again reinforces the impression that this game could definitely live up to its promises For a long time it was not clear whether the single developer could really handle the task. Now it seems that at least Microsoft believes in it.
It is not yet known how long the game will remain in Early Access after release. Normally, such pre-release phases last about a year, but sometimes a bit longer. But hopefully the additional feedback will help to improve Manor Lords even more.
By the way, the game will only be available in the Game Pass for PC on April 24, but it won’t stop there. In addition to the release date, a console version has also been announced, but it will be released later and doesn’t have a date.
What kind of game will Manor Lords be?
Manor Lords could be one of the most interesting building games of the year, combining elements from classics like Anno with real-time battles like Total War. Above all, the game places great emphasis on being as close as possible to the current state of historical science. Thus, the highest possible degree of authenticity is aimed for. We have already reported frequently about Manor Lord in the past:
The core of the game is that you, as a medieval landlord, rule over various lands, build villages there and then trade with each other. But there can also be military conflicts, which are often fought out on the backs of the working population. Here you have to manage cleverly how many citizens you take off the fields and how many take care of the supply.
Are you looking forward to Manor Lords or are you still skeptical? What exactly do you want from this building game and will you play it in Game Pass? Tell us in the comments!
