Men of War 2 features realistic real-time battles in World War II and will be released later this year in September.

Once Relic Entertainment released Company of Heroes 3, one of the most exciting World War II strategy games of the entire year, in February, the studio will soon have competition from Best Way. The Ukrainian development studio is behind Men of War 2, which is similar to Company of Heroes 3 in some areas, but with an even greater emphasis on authentic battlefield action.

The strategy game has been in development for several years, but now its release is in sight. Best Way has now officially announced that Men of War 2 will be released on 20 September 2023. The game will be released exclusively on PC, on Steam and in the Epic Store.

This is all in the release version Men of War 2 will be a real-time strategy game set in World War II, focusing on both the Eastern and Western Fronts. The playable factions are therefore the Allies, the Soviet Union and the German Reich. Each of them has different battalions, such as artillery, infantry or tanks, which each send their own units into battle. Men of War 2 will have a total of 45 such battalions, with a total of more than 300 units. Men of War 2 will be playable like this

In total, Men of War 2 is said to feature 45 such battalions, with a total of more than 300 units.

Men of War 2 will be playable in both multiplayer and single player. Here’s what you can expect in each case:

Single player: For soloists, there are three extensive campaigns, including cinematics. Each campaign depicts the war from the perspective of one of the three factions. As Allies we advance west of the Seine into Germany, as Soviets we defend Russia against the advancing Wehrmacht and as Germans we fight for survival while the Third Reich is already collapsing. There will also be two historical operations very close to real events.

Multiplayer: In multiplayer you always choose a battalion and compete against one or more opponents in different modes. There are both co-op missions against the AI and classic PvP matches. Unlike in Company of Heroes, for example, there is no base building in Men of War 2. Instead, we have to call in reinforcements from outside the map.

Men of War 2 will also be released with mod support. So the longer the game is out, the more new content will be provided by the community.
