Leakers have found evidence of a collaboration between Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which was released in 2014

What do Modern Warfare 3 and Advanced Warfare have in common? You say nothing? At the moment you are still right with this statement, but this is likely to change with Season 3 at the latest. Dataminers have discovered that developer Sledgehammer Games is apparently planning a collaboration between the two Call of Duty titles that will modernize our arsenal of weapons.

The present meets the future

While some Call of Duty titles have been receiving sequels for years or, like Modern Warfare, have even been completely remade, others have disappeared into oblivion and are still waiting for a sequel today

One of these titles is Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, which was released in 2014 and bridged the gap between the present and the future.

In Season 3 of Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, at least one part of the first Call of Duty series developed by Sledgehammer Games is set to make a comeback.

Weapons from Advanced Warfare are currently set to return in Season 3 of MWIII The returning weapons are:

– EM1 (JP32)
– AMS1 (JP33)
– BAL27 (JP34)
– MORS (JP35) https://t.co/5xxsBuMIOu pic.twitter.com/nOnEgChXdI

As the two leakers @HYP0ESTHESIA and @HeyImAlaix have found out, we can look forward to four weapons from Advanced Warfare that will expand our arsenal in Season 3.

The two are considered a reliable source within the Call of Duty scene and have always been right with their leaks in the past.

In addition to the assault rifle BAL27 we also get the machine gun ASM1, the sniper rifle MORS and the heavy laser gun EM1

In Advanced Warfare, the EM1 rifle was an energy weapon that killed its enemies without ammunition. It remains to be seen whether developer Sledgehammer Games will adopt this concept in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

However, it is doubtful that the collaboration is an indication that Advanced Warfare will soon be continued. Such a collaboration already took place in 2021 in the form of EX1 in Vanguard and did not lead to a new installment in the Advanced Warfare series.
