The Elder Scrolls continues! But don’t get too excited, because we’re not talking about a new RPG here.

The Elder Scrolls is going into the next round! Bethesda has released part 6 as a Shadow Drop and it’s even free! Oh, hold on, we’re getting a memo in right now. Aha, so-so, we get it. Well, this is awkward for us, but we must correct ourselves. So, let’s start over, ahem.

The Elder Scrolls is going to the next round! Bethesda has released the mobile game Castles as a Shadow Drop, and it’s even free! Everything about this game is pretty strikingly reminiscent of the very popular Fallout Shelter released in 2015.

The challenging life as a castle owner

In Castles you are responsible for the fortunes of a castle as well as its inhabitants. As the years progress, families living there shall grow, new rulers shall ascend the throne, and more challenges shall come your way

Each day in real life corresponds to one year in the game. So you have to take care of determining the succession to the throne early on and train inhabitants for various activities, so that everyday life in the castle does not fall into chaos in the long run.

A look at the screenshots and it’s immediately clear: this is Fallout Shelter, only in the Elder Scrolls universe. So if you’ve already had a lot of fun with Bethesda’s mobile bunker simulator, you should also like Castles.

Interesting: On the American Google Play page of The Elder Scrolls: Castles, the game is listed as Early Access in the description. As soon as the game is available in Germany, there should be some updates in the future, possibly with additional features.

Are you interested in The Elder Scrolls: Castles? Does the prospect of managing your own castle and everyone in it appeal to you? Did you already have a lot of fun with Fallout Shelter or did you uninstall the post-apocalyptic management game after a short time? Feel free to write us your opinion in the comments!
