New Team Liquid CS2 Roster Shows NA Is Ready to Win Again

Following days of anticipation, Team Liquid have announced their new CS2 roster, confirming the all-star additions of Twistzz, cadiaN, and skullz alongside coach zews. After the failed transfers of Patsi and Rainwaker back in June, it’s the best Team Liquid CS team on paper since 2019’s Intel Grand Slam winners.

This isn’t Twistzz’s first dance with Liquid. NA’s finest export spent three years on the Team Liquid CS roster between 2017 and 2020, before moving on to pastures new with FaZe Clan. There, he cemented his legacy, becoming a CS:GO Major winner and the only two-time Intel Grand Slam champion.

With cadiaN’s move to Liquid confirmed, the Heroic CS2 roster drama has reached its conclusion. The charismatic IGL helped build Heroic from the bottom, and now, he has a huge new challenge ahead. Helping NA’s biggest organization win again won’t be easy, but cadiaN has proven he can take a team from nothing to Tier 1 tournament victory.

Now, cadiaN probably didn’t win as much as he should’ve in Heroic due to multiple high-profile Grand Final catastrophes. The new Team Liquid CS2 roster represents a blank slate for him to work with. No baggage, and a team hungry for success.

skullz’s Role in Liquid

No doubt, skullz is the biggest unknown here. A young talent from Brazil, skullz was putting up great numbers with paiN Gaming. Crucially, his signing allows the new Team Liquid CS2 team to participate in the Americas RMR for the upcoming PGL Major Copenhagen 2024, giving them an easier route to qualification.

If things aren’t working, skullz will likely be first on the chopping block. It was already rumored that FURIA’s KSCERATO rejected Liquid in this role. However, if skullz can prove his worth, Liquid may have discovered a diamond in the rough.
