Kronten Chandgude, the CEO of GodLike Esports, recently revealed through his livestream and Instagram Story that the organization’s BGMI roster will undergo changes. This decision came after the team’s lackluster performance since the games return in May 2023. Surprisingly, the team failed to qualify for the playoffs of Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series (BGMS) Season 2 and was eliminated after week 2 of the tournament. Following this, the disappointment continued into Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS 2023). The team faced elimination in Round 3, failing to secure a spot in either the quarter-finals or Loser Bracket.

Neyoo and ZGOD Might Leave GodLike Esports’ BGMI Roster, Ghatak Takes a Break

In a recent live stream, Neyoo shed light on the team’s internal struggles and the impending changes. Neyoo expressed the team’s collective frustration, stating that their inability to perform up to their standards had taken a toll on their mental well-being. Following this, he revealed that he might not play in GodLike Esports anymore. “Kronten posted a story announcing that there will be a few changes in the team. So, the changes will be that I won’t play, I guess. I won’t play at all now, and you guys won’t get to see me play for GodLike Esports. Basically, I am taking a break away from all this stress. I am feeling quite stressed,” he said.

Following this, Neyoo made a surprising revelation about Abhishek “ZGOD” Choudhary. He stated that ZGOD might leave GodLike Esports and play from another lineup. “Even ZGOD has mentioned that he might play with a different lineup. He has been under a lot of stress lately and is currently playing to grind on his own. The main point is, Kronten will reveal it, but based on our discussion, ZGOD and I will not be playing. I’m not entirely sure about ZGOD, but it seems he is only playing because he wants to grind on his own,” he said.

Additionally, Abhijeet “Ghatak” Andhare, the team’s coach, announced on his Instagram story that he too would be taking a break.

JONATHAN To Stick With GodLike Esports

While Neyoo and ZGOD’s departures seem certain, Neyoo revealed that the team’s star player Jonathan “JONATHAN” Amaral will stick to the team. He added that he wasn’t sure whether the remaining two players, Rudra “SPower” B and  Arjun “SHADOW” Mandhalkar, will stay on the team or leave. However, Kronten will soon make a detailed announcement of all changes.

Neyoo and ZGOD’s departure, Ghatak’s break, and the uncertainty surrounding other players create an air of anticipation in the esports community.
