In recent months we’ve seen a few major expansions for the world of fighting game esports. This week, yet another org has chosen to enter this side of competitive gaming. This org isn’t launching with SF 6 or Tekken players though. They’ve signed Zane, a rising star in FighterZ and DNF Duel.

NGNL has made a new signing to their fighting game community roster. This new signing not only means that Zane is joining the org, but it marks the first expansion into fighting games for the NGNL org. With more and more fighters getting bigger tournaments, we’ve seen a lot of this expansion lately. It’s great to see NGNL make the move into fighting games esports with this signing.

Zane Signs with NGNL to Launch Fighting Game Roster

Fighting games have gotten a lot bigger over the last year, with the launch of games like Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1. Even older fighters are receiving increased attention though. We can clearly see that with the choice of player to launch NGNL’s new fighting game roster. They’ve gone for Zane, an up-and-coming FighterZ player.

Zane is a more recent player to hit the top flight of fighters. He’s been active since 2021 and has quickly shot to prominence in a few games. In 2023 he had some fantastic results like sinning CEO 2023 and coming 2nd in East Coast Throwdown. His FighterZ results last year have marked him as one of the best active players right now. He’s also competed in DNF Duel in the past and has the potential to be a player who can perform highly in multiple different fighting game esports.

CEO 2023 Tournaments and Players to Watch

As a first signing for their fighting game community roster, Zane is a great choice. This is going to give NGNL’s fighting games bigger prominence at major events for FighterZ. Hopefully, this first fighting game player is one of many to come for NGNL in this space.
